Before assembly take time to make sure all connections are sand and debris free. When new the fit can be firm, a light tap with a rubber mallet might be required to line up the holes. Do not over tighten the screws, firmly hand tighten and release screws by hand only, do not use power tools. Do not tighten until you have all screws and Barrel Nuts in position and correctly threaded, tighten the screws first and finally the Barrel Nut.
